Kevin Layshock is a naturalist painter whose figurative realist works often employ dramatic use of light and shadow as a means of developing a scene. Through a historical lens, his paintings explore exhaustion and rest, and relatable interpretations (whether by allegory, liminality, or invented lore) of everyday people in society.
He can be found toiling away in his home studio in uptown Phoenix.
